Gus Holwerda

Writer / Director / Producer

Holwerda directorial debut came with 2013’s The Unbelievers, an avant-garde documentary which examined the growing rift between science and religion.  Premiering in Toronto, the film featured renowned scientists along with celebrities such as Ricky Gervais, Sarah Silverman, and Cormac McCarthy.  His second film, a time-travel mystery called Intersect, was released in 2019. The film premiered at the 2019 Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival and was immediately acquired for distribution by The Orchard/1091 Films.  Gus also formerly produced The Origins Podcast.  Guests included Noam Chomsky, Brian May (of Queen), Neil deGrasse Tyson, Stephen Fry, and many more. He is also the co-host of The Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes Podcast and is credited as co-writer on 6 episodes of the TV series The Unjust.  He recently shot (with his brother Luke) Werner Herzog’s upcoming film, Theater of Thought, after Herzog was impressed by the Holwerda Brothers’ indie sensibilities and ingenuity in the field.

Luke Holwerda

Cinematographer / Producer

With a background in concert photography (SPIN, New Times, Arizona Republic), Luke has worked as a cinematographer since 2008. He was director of photography on The Unbelievers and Intersect as well as Werner Herzog’s upcoming documentary, Theater of Thought.  Luke was also a co-producer on the Origins Podcast and is co-host of the popular Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes Podcast.

Jason Spisak

With over 25 years of credits to his name, Jason Spisak is well known to industry insiders as one of the top voice-acting artists in the United States (appearing in Riot Games international animated success, Arcane, where he plays the critically acclaimed role of Silco. Also, DC’s Young Justice as Kid Flash, Batman: Hush as the Joker, Marvel’s Guardians of the GalaxyStar Wars: Clone Wars and countless others), but he also has an impressive on-screen credit list, including Piranha 3-DEverything Must Go, Lie To Me, NCIS and more. Jason also served as producer on both Black Chalk feature films: The Unbelievers and Intersect.  His many years of wide-ranging industry experience (from film and TV to animation and video games) make him an indispensable member of the team.

Lyndsey Waugh

With over a decade of leadership experience in strategic planning, business development, fundraising and public relations, Lyndsey has a well-earned reputation for producing successful projects for both for-profit and nonprofit clients. Her relationship-based approach to fundraising and development is built on trust and creating win-wins, as she helps to connect potential partners and build collaborations.
